Bonnie B. Prochaska is founder and president of Ginkgo Leaf Consulting, a firm working with nonprofit organizations. In this role she draws upon her experience working and volunteering for the past 25 years. Ginkgo Leaf Consulting specialties are Board, Organizational, Program and Administration Development. Prochaska works with Boards to identify and develop their strengths and the sustainability of the organization, which helps to drive the mission. She also works with local nonprofits providing leadership for day-to-day operations and acts as a liaison to the Board. She understands the sector including awareness of the requirements and support for the nonprofit’s mission. Prochaska listens to the needs of the organization, clarifying and defining the starting point of work allowing her to assist the client to frame the issues or concerns in a clearly stated implementation plan. She helps each client focus on the actions that need to be taken.
Recent clients have included the Racine Symphony Orchestra; The Cultural Alliance of Greater Milwaukee; Trade Secrets, LLC; Lakeshore Studio; and Mutual Aid Box Alarm System – Wisconsin, Inc. (MABAS.)
Prochaska has been involved with nonprofit organizations in various roles from a volunteer Board Director to the executive director. Over the years she has helped to develop and administer organizations’ operating budgets, successfully written grants and developed fund strategies and fundraising events. As both volunteer and employee she has developed and implemented strategic plans. She has driven the establishment of a variety of partnerships and collaborative efforts within organizations and communities.
Prochaska is a recipient of the YWCA Women of Distinction Award for her community service and volunteerism. Her accomplishments include: • Managed the program for the development of the City of Racine’s South Side Comprehensive Plan
• Facilitated the process for the designation of North Beach as a Blue Wave Beach by the Clean Beaches Council national organization • Developed and implemented Sustainable Neighborhood Partnership fund supporting more than $366,000 in community improvement project • Coordinated the Greater Racine Area’s successful designation as an All America City • Volunteered on multiple nonprofit boards or community committees: The Racine Symphony Orchestra, Root River Council, Tempo International Foundation, The United Way of Racine County, YWCA, Transit Now, Racine County Youth as Resources, Jane Cremer Foundation, Racine United Arts Fund, Great Lakes Regional Collaboration Executive Committee, TEMPO International, Wisconsin Nonprofit Association Public Policy Committee, Mt. Pleasant Park and Recreation Committee, Village Hall Site Ad-Hoc Committee and Village Hall Facilities Ad-Hoc Committee.
Prochaska is a member of Tempo International, Wisconsin Nonprofit Association, Social Enterprise Alliance, 1000 Friends of Wisconsin, and Sierra Club.
